I had a good time playing, but even on Expert mode it was not a difficult game. I got it cheap with my Steam Money from selling the cards which made it even better. I wouldn't pay full price, but if you can get a discount definately buy it.The hidden objects scenes are very good, with lots of objects crammed into the scene instead of a simple scene that is too easy. This makes is difficult to find the objects, instead of quick and easy, but that wasn't a bad thing. I had to use the hint a couple of times to find the object since it was so well hidden. The puzzles were not too hard, but different from other puzzles on the HOGs I have played. You have to use your brain, but some of them are just trial and error. The story line was semi-interesting, but the characters had no depth or background information. The game gave almost no information as to why the evil was on the island and why the possessed man was there. The grapics were good and it seems like a well made game. There were a few times that you had to walk back and forth to find the hidden obejct scenes, but the objects found were not always easy to figure out how to use. That made the game more interesting because the objects intended use was not immediately figured out. That really made the game better to play.. Another hidden object game with some puzzles. This version includes a walkthrough in case you get stuck. Aside from not good voice acting, it's not a bad game. Not anything spectacular either, but if you want something to kill some time, this is a good option.Spoiler alert. For Mike's final puzzle the M shape is for the "bad ending" the Y shape is for the "good ending.". I had played this quite awhile ago and placed it in my "good games" list. Then recently, I was looking through said list, came across this game, and couldn't remember much about it. So I replayed it. And, YES, it's a good game! One of the better Hidden Object games, in my opinion. The story is creepy and interesting. There are small cut-scenes throughout the game that add flavor to the plot. The HO scenes are wonderful - items are clear to see and when you have to perform more than one action, you will get prompts when you come across something you can interact with. (I don't like HO games that force you to go through a clickfest to complete a scene). To top it off, this is a collector's edition so you get a bonus chapter after finishing the game. The game begins with you and your boyfriend going for a cruise and, of course, all Hell breaks loose. You both get washed up on an island and your boyfriend gets dragged off - you don't see by who as you're still trying to clear your head. Well, the bonus chapter lets you play as the boyfriend after he gets dragged off. It's really nice to be able to play both sides. This particular HO doesn't have a map telling you where you need to go. Even so, I never got stuck for long. If you're a fan of the hidden object genre, I definitely recommend Sea Legends: Phantasmal Light.. A pretty decent hidden object game with some unique puzzles. Worth a special mention is the fact that it includes a complete walkthrough guide in case you get stuck with one of the puzzles and an unlockable bonus mode that lets you play part of the adventure from the perspective of the protagonist's friend.. Good story. You play a young girl washed up on a Island after a unexpected storm. Her boy friend is taken by someone, but you are to weak to do anything. When you come to, you find out that the Island is not what it seems. Their is a big secret and you end up solving it to save your boyfriend.Nice mix between hidden objects and puzzle.Very fun. I recommend it.. pros- good looking graphics and nice sea animations- good voice acting- dark atmosphere- puzzles are mostly enjoyable. they are not so easy or difficult- creepy cursed island setting and ghost story intriguing - hidden object elements are fun.- well made cut scenes- there is auto save- game is long- there is extra chaptercons- there are some frustrating slider and trial/error puzzles. fortunately you can skip if you don't want to solve them.- there are no steam achievements- game doesn't drop cards.- there is no travelling map- hint system not working the way ıt's supposed to bethis is an better and longer hog game than many hog games in Steam. i quite enjoyed and recommended!. A nice story and not just a straight forward HOG. Puzzles are good and nice graphics. Not the best HOG out there, but still very enjoyable!. If at first you don’t succeed: Try, try, and try again. I did. I tried to play Sea Legends three times. And I still don’t like it. I would have loved to like it, because there is so much to like. The story is somewhat ok – the standard hocus-pocus for HOGs: Shipwreck, abduction, rescue and whole lot of occult. Actually just standard for HOG and therefore ok.But it is an old game, and that is the problem. There are a big lot of really good and challenging hidden object scenes (remember: the graphics are old – but you can find the items). All in all, it could be an ok game, but I really, really, REALLY do miss a better hint button, than “There is nothing to do here”. What? Say what?“There is nothing to do here?” Well. Thanks for nothing! There is no map, and on your way through the game you forget the story and the places to do something. Because: “There is nothing to do here” Not that there are so many places to go …I have tried to complete the game three times now, but never succeeded because I got bored and frustrated. Sorry: It does have great deal of good HOS but the rest is not worth it.. A nice HOG. The game looks good despite the low resolution and the background music fit the game quite nicely. The HO scenes were for the most part rather easy but a couple of the items were hard to find or had a weird description. Some of the puzzles were a bit over my patience level - good thing there's a strategy guide included! What I didn't like: The voice acting, jeez. The lack of a map combined with some serious backtracking action :(
